The shower Valve split open due to freezing water.

How the original valve looks from inside the shower stall. Unfortunatly, the new valve is not nearly as tall. The hole will not be covered with the new beauty ring.
The new style shower valves didnt fit that opening, so we had to find a way to cover the large hole that was cut into the tile.
because of the freezing water, we also had to replace the shower head, hose, and the drop ell.
